MORE ON Toners

A Rare Ritual toner is the first thing on the skin after cleansing. It is not a pad soaked in astringent. It is a cold-processed botanical base that resets the surface and puts the skin in a state where everything after it works harder.

The layer most rituals skip

Freshly cleansed skin is clean, but it is not necessarily calm or ready. That gap between washing and everything else is where a toner earns its place. Misted over clean skin and pressed in, it settles visible redness and gets the surface ready for the serum that follows.

These toners are cold-processed, which means no heat at any stage. Heat is what destroys the volatile compounds in a botanical hydrosol, so avoiding it keeps the base doing what it was chosen to do.

The three toners

  • No. 11 Clarity Active Toner is built for congested and easily irritated skin. Centella Asiatica and aloe vera visibly calm, and niacinamide helps reduce the appearance of redness around breakouts.
  • No. 12 Radiance Active Toner sets up a ritual aimed at uneven tone, supporting a more even-looking, more luminous complexion.
  • No. 13 Renewal Active Toner is the one for skin showing fine lines and a loss of firmness, supporting skin renewal from the first layer on.

Match the toner to the serum. They are built as pairs on complementary ingredients, so the toner starts the work and the serum carries it on.

How to use one

  • Mist over clean skin from about 10 to 15 centimetres away.
  • Press it in gently with your fingertips. Do not wipe it off.
  • Give it a minute to absorb before the serum goes on. The toner prepares, the serum performs, and both need their own moment.
